Quality Hotel Hampstead

The staff member at reception kindly kept my rucksack after checkout, so I could explore without carrying it, and later let me wait for my coach in the bar area. I appreciated that. The bedroom was the size I expected and fine for a short stay, the beds were comfortable enough, and the mirror and shower in the bathroom were nice. It would have helped to have breakfast times written in the room, since I only heard them at check-in. The breakfast staff were lovely but cleared things away very quickly. I went to get a croissant and came back to find my half-finished coffee gone. The cooked options weren’t great, though I can’t speak for the meat: the mushrooms were watery and poorly cooked, and the hash browns were rubbery. Continental breakfast was the safer choice, and the flavor syrups for coffee were a nice touch. The room got very hot. A fan was provided, but I personally find it hard to sleep with the noise. It was also loud outside early in the morning, even with the window shut and despite the hotel being off the main road. At night I heard a strange clicking sound while trying to sleep, possibly pipes.

Our room was cosy and just the right size for the two of us. Everything was clean and tidy. We stayed three nights, and the staff were friendly and happy to give directions. The ladies in the breakfast room were attentive, kept the place clean and made sure the food stayed fresh.

We came from Austria and would happily return. The room was exceptionally clean, and there were plenty of coat hangers, which might seem like a small thing but mattered a lot to us. Parking was included and right on site, and the location was fantastic. Both receptionists we met were smashing, polite, helpful and welcoming. I think the man was called Dimitri, but unfortunately we can’t remember the woman’s name. Great stuff, keep it up.

The room was extremely clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the staff welcomed us and went out of their way to help. We were a little concerned about noise because the hotel is fairly close to a busy London road, but it’s tucked away on a quiet, leafy side street and was very peaceful. This short stay in north London was much better than expected. Thanks for a lovely visit, and we look forward to coming back.
