Richmond Bridge is especially photogenic, and a great spot to take in the riverfront. At night, lights shimmer on the water and there's a wide choice of pubs and bars along the riverside. It's a lively but civilised area, generally well kept and presentable, with attractive buildings overlooking the water and plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants. Richmond feels like a welcome change from the busier parts of central London. There's still lots to do, from riverside walks and boat hire to London's largest deer park, and the world famous Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is nearby.

The peaceful atmosphere makes this riverside spot a lovely place to spend time with the people you love. Sometimes there are running or music events that add to the fun. It's always going to mean something special to me.

My wife and I had a really lovely day out here. We were lucky to get sunshine, which made the river scenery and open spaces even more beautiful. It's such a calm, picturesque place for a relaxing walk. I'd recommend it if you want a peaceful break while staying in London.
