Rooms at 175

We never even got checked in. We had booked nine nights in London, but the landlord wasn’t there when we arrived. We called repeatedly and got no answer, then spent hours trying to reach him with no result. Neighbours told us the ceiling had fallen on them, that there were rats in all the rooms, and that the ten rooms shared one bathroom. We had to find somewhere else and lost a day in the city doing it. We tried to contact the landlord and Expidia for a refund, but the request was denied. We lost all our money despite not staying there. Please don’t make the same mistake and book this place. It’s a scam.

I had to find alternative accommodation on the spot, and it cost me a premium price. I’d booked this place more than a week ahead, but when I arrived at check-in time, nobody was there. I tried calling several times and it seemed like I was being hung up on, since the calls went to voicemail at different intervals. There’s still no explanation, and I’m waiting for a refund. I’ll probably have to charge it back through my credit card, and I’ll be reporting the place to Trading Standards. Looking at the other reviews, I’m convinced it’s a scam. It should be struck off. Avoid it.

The people we spoke to were incredibly unfriendly when we asked questions, and became downright threatening. The accommodation was in terrible condition and nothing like the room pictured. The heating didn’t work, so it was freezing inside with an outside temperature of 2 degrees Celsius, and the place stank. There was mold and water damage on the walls, nails sticking out of the floor, and wires hanging from the walls. The beds and duvets were dirty and stained. There was a hole in the bathroom window, mold in the shower, and a smell of vomit. I strongly advise everyone to avoid staying here.

The stench is unbearable, and the house is an old ruin. The rented room is downstairs in the basement, and everything is moldy, filthy, and falling apart. You also have to be lucky enough to find someone there to answer the door. Beware of this scam!
