Royal Bayswater

I was worried after reading all the negative reviews, but my two nights went better than I'd expected. The bathroom in the 20-person mixed room was kept really clean, cleaner than the place I stayed before for £628 a month. The room had enough space for 20 people. The bed and pillow were worn, but that didn't bother me much. Staff were okay, and the location worked well. I didn't try breakfast, so can't comment on it. If you're trying to save money for a short stay, this could be a decent option.

The room was clean, very basic, and the beds weren't comfortable. The price probably explains that. What made me feel uncomfortable was a man over 40 in the room who seemed to be dealing drugs. I'm a young woman, and I didn't feel at ease around him.

Avoid this place. My stay was unpleasant from the start, when the young woman at reception hung up while I was still talking. The staff seemed fed up and were incredibly rude, with very little manners. I'm being generous saying that. I'd only suggest coming if you actually want the worst experience ever. 0 out of 10.

It's awful, but it's cheap, so I guess you can expect this sort of thing. The shower swings between scalding hot and freezing, and there's a lot of traffic noise. Homeless people stay here. Don't bother with breakfast. If saving money is the priority, you can get through one night.
