They let us leave our bags after checkout while we went out exploring, which was really kind. We had a clean, comfortable quadruple room on the top floor, and there's a lift. The location was great, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We couldn't fault the hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Paddington Station is right across the road, with a food hall nearby, and the location made getting around easy. We also had a short walk to Hyde Park and enjoyed a lovely canal walk to Little Venice. The staff were warm and friendly, and our room was clean with comfortable beds.

Please don't stay here. The whole place was humid and smelly, and our basement room was so hot, musty, and damp it felt like a rainforest. The window looked straight onto an outside hallway, which was creepy and made us feel unsafe. When we told the front desk we didn't like it, he offered an upgrade for £30, which was a lot when we were on a budget. He was very rude and creepy, and followed us around.

There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the small hotel was easy to find. The location was excellent. But the AC was a real problem. In cold mode, its water pump made a loud noise all night. The hotel was fully booked, so we couldn't switch rooms. Luckily we'd brought earplugs, because otherwise we wouldn't have slept.

Good value, and I'd happily stay again. Royal Cambridge Hotel is close to Paddington Station, so it was easy to get around, and the location was nice.
