The people at reception and the bar were so kind and clearly put a lot of care into what they do. Helen made me an exceptional cup of coffee, and they really went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Highly recommend! :)

The location in Camden made it feel like we were right in the middle of London, with the Underground close by. It's a lively neighborhood full of culture, music, and food, and we felt safe throughout our stay, which matters a lot to me in hostels. The atmosphere at St. Christopher’s Camden was friendly and welcoming. Staff went out of their way to help, whether with city tips, directions, or just a chat. The rooms and shared areas were clean and comfortable, with a good social vibe and a chance to find some quiet when needed. It's one of the best hostels I've stayed in, and I'd recommend it to first-time visitors and returning travelers alike.

I spent five nights here and had a very positive stay, especially compared with the branch's hostel in Paris. The six-bed dorm had an en-suite bathroom and shower, and it was kept clean with consistent housekeeping. There were no privacy curtains on the beds, unlike in some hostels, but I can't call that a negative because I don't remember whether it was mentioned when I booked. The reception team stood out. Mark and Charlie were fantastic, always smiling, helpful, and genuinely friendly. I needed replacement room key cards a few times, and they handled it without any fuss. The cleaning and maintenance team were great too: one cleaner found an AirPod I'd lost and left it on my bed, and a maintenance guy helped me work out the laundry machines before I even asked. Laundry is £4 to wash and £4 to dry, £8 altogether. There's only one washer and one dryer for the whole hostel, and they take card payments only, which is common in London. The bar downstairs had a great atmosphere, especially during football events. It was packed and buzzing with fans on the night of the Women’s Euro final. Guests get discounts, and prices are fair. Bar staff seemed a bit cold and distant compared with reception, though not bad. My dorm-mate made the stay harder. He was loud, rude, smelly, ate and drank in bed, passed gas, and used a fan just for himself. That disrupted my experience, but it wasn't the hostel's responsibility. You can't control who you share with, and I suppose that can happen in a six-person room. The hostel has friendly staff, excellent cleanliness, a good Camden location, and a lively atmosphere for young travelers. I'd consider staying here again if I return to London.

It met my needs: cheap and well located, so I'd recommend it for a trip or a stag or weekend away. Booking directly on the website should get you a better deal. The rooms are basic but fine for a couple of nights, and the staff are friendly. You can hear the tube underneath. Earbuds and the local pubs nearby should help with that.

The location is great, and the rooms are alright. I found the eight-bed dorm much more comfortable and better than the 12-bed one. My stay was already over when I lost my passport. I know it wasn't the staff's responsibility, but they did try to help me get it back and searched for it. I was just unlucky that weekend. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
