Staycity London Dalston

The coffee machine was love at first sight, so that’s the only photo or video I took 😄. I was here for two work nights and would stay again. Catherine and Nyna were fantastic when I needed help and kept bothering them more than usual, and the cleaning staff were friendly too. The room was a good size for what I needed, and the little gym was enough for a couple of exercises on a work trip, even though it’s very small. I’ve got at least two more stays coming up and will ask to come back, depending on my boss. Hopefully the restaurant and rooftop bar will be open by then. The weather’s getting nicer, and a drink outside after a busy day would be fantastic.

I’m here for business and haven’t slept at all, with an extremely early train coming up. Guests across the corridor were screaming, shouting, dancing, and blasting music around midnight. I called reception, but it took 40 minutes for someone to knock on their door. The guests said, “Give me an hour,” and the receptionist just went back. I understand the noise wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but guests who ignore the house rules should be removed. This isn’t acceptable for a hotel, and I’d like a refund for a stay where I got no sleep. The room was compact, clean, and had everything I needed. The small gym and laundry room were handy too. There are plenty of supermarkets, bakeries, and restaurants nearby, and the Overground and buses make it easy to get around London. The staff were lovely during my stay. I didn’t need help myself, but often saw them assisting other guests. Good value for the price, and I’d definitely stay at Staycity again on my next London visit.

The place is very central and easy to find, and we had a great weekend at Staycity Apartments. The room was a good size and very clean, and the check-in staff were friendly and chatty, which made us feel at home. We were on the ground floor, which worried me in central London, but the room was at least a story up at the back. The view of rubbish and washing machines wasn’t great, though it didn’t affect our trip. One thing to know: late checkout isn’t free if you didn’t book direct, and the card in the room doesn’t make that clear.
