The studio looked nice and seemed ideal for two nights in Central London, but it was unbearable in the heatwave. The warmth hit as soon as you entered the lobby from the street, and the corridors and studio were just as hot. The east-facing windows had blackout blinds down, but the room was still stifling. I tried the fan from the cupboard, then spent an hour looking in five local supermarkets for ice to put in front of it. Nothing made a noticeable difference. It was stuffy and impossible to sleep in. I know the weather was unusual, but hot spells happen most years and are becoming more likely with climate change. The phone assistant apologised but said it was too late for a refund, so I booked a nearby Premier Inn with air con and paid just as much again so I could sleep. If a studio can’t be used properly in these conditions, the company should take responsibility and let guests cancel for a refund.
We really enjoyed our Christmas break. The apartment was easy to find with the instructions, and the online support was good. It was lovely being so close to London’s main streets, and we appreciated having a microwave, plates, glasses, cutlery and a sofa. The bed was comfortable, though a little small for the two of us. Thanks for everything, we had a great stay.
The room was spotless when I arrived, with not a mark or smear on any surface or appliance. It was on the first floor facing the courtyard. The mattress was cosy, though softer than I personally like, and the heating felt very comfortable. That’s just my preference, not a quality issue. Communication before arrival through Booking.com was excellent, check-in was easy, and the modern apartment is very central. A really good room for a fair price. I’d gladly stay again! 👍🏻
StayPrime Marylebone was a great place to stay. The bed was super comfy, the apartment was clean, modern and had everything I needed. It’s right in the heart of London but still felt quiet and comfortable. Check-in went smoothly, and communication was quick and easy.
The black mold in the bathroom was so bad that we were coughing constantly and had to wear masks. The room was hot and humid with very poor ventilation, even though the weather outside was mild, and that may have contributed to the mold. We couldn’t sleep and needed to move to another hotel, but customer service asked us to fill in a Google form and wait up to 10 days for a refund response instead of helping straight away. Another guest mentioned mold in their room too, so this may be a building-wide problem that needs urgent attention. We’re still waiting to hear back. This is a serious health issue. Avoid the place.
