Afternoon tea was one of the highlights for me. The room where it was served felt calm and refined, a nice break from the pace of Knightsbridge. There was a thoughtful range of teas, from delicate whites and herbal infusions to stronger classics, with pastries and savouries that felt fresh and contemporary. The team knew their teas well. That same careful approach showed in the service throughout the hotel. Staff were polished and intuitive, attentive without hovering, and still warm and personal. The Emory feels like a private retreat tucked behind Belgravia's grand terraces, with a composed, quietly confident atmosphere. Its architecture is striking but not showy, and the interiors balance art and craftsmanship with clean lines, warm textures, and lots of natural light. Everything feels considered. In a city where luxury can lean heavily on heritage and spectacle, The Emory offers a more contemporary kind of calm. For anyone looking for a sophisticated London stay with thoughtful design and an elegant tea experience, it delivers.

The Emory bar is open to visitors who aren't hotel guests, and it's worth the fun of finding it. It's a beautiful room with some of the best views in London. The drinks are exquisite, whether you pick one of the imaginative menu options or a classic, and the service is impeccable. The cigar lounge is lovely too, if that particular weed is your thing.

This was probably our third stay at The Emory, and our Christmas visit with my sister was amazing. Each time we come, the experience gets better. The spa is beautiful and the therapists really know their stuff. Check-in was easy, and the room was just beautiful. The staff go above and beyond here. It's my favourite London hotel, and I can't recommend it enough. Thanks to everyone at The Emory. We'll be back!

Room 4009 had a view straight into the windows of a neighbouring building, leaving us with no natural light and no privacy. I had to keep the curtains closed the whole time, so the room stayed dark. I found that truly unacceptable. I do want to commend the service team, who handled all my requests promptly and efficiently. Still, as a returning guest who has stayed at Maybourne Group hotels three times in the past month, I was disappointed with the room.

I haven't seen the rooms yet, so I can't comment on them, but everything else has been excellent so far. The Christmas decorations are stunning, elegant and tasteful, and give the hotel a luxurious festive feel. You can tell the details have been carefully chosen. The staff are warm, attentive, and very professional. A special mention to the lady at reception, whose welcoming manner and professionalism made me feel valued right away. I'd confidently come back to The Emory London.
