The Kensington Hotel

We stayed for five days at this luxurious boutique hotel, with outstanding service and a great location for the big museums. It was easy to reach central London either by tube or on foot. Kumar and Noel sorted out our several bookings so we could stay in the same room for the whole visit. It wasn’t an easy task. Maria at reception was very helpful whenever we needed assistance, and Daniella in the restaurant gave us six-star service and expert advice on food choices. She’s a real asset to the business! I’ve earned a loyal guest here after a three-night stay. On the second night an issue came up, and night manager Noel dealt with it promptly and professionally, with genuine care. He took care of everything, accommodated all my requests and even upgraded my room so I’d be comfortable. That level of service is rare. I really couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in London. Highly recommend The Kensington.

We visited from the US with our family, and Kensington Hotel was a great place for us to stay. The atmosphere and rooms were just what we wanted, more partitioned and less modern. George was especially phenomenal. He made sure we had everything we needed, arranged a very efficient checkout and had a car waiting with our luggage loaded, ready for our train to Paris. Highly recommend!

I took my aunt for high tea here, and it was a pleasant, affordable introduction to the experience. The theme was “Let Us Eat Cake”, to go with the Marie Antoinette exhibition at the V&A. The sweet treats looked great and matched the theme, 4.5/5 for presentation, and service was 5/5. For taste and flavour, I’d give it 3/5. As someone who knows high tea, I wouldn’t come back. I like more creative flavours in my tea and sandwiches, and sweets that don’t taste like just sugar. But for a first, affordable high tea, I can recommend it for the insta worthy presentation.
