The Norfolk

A quiet spot right in the heart of Paddington, with plenty of restaurants nearby and Paddington station just a two-minute walk away. The rooms are clean and well kept, there’s air conditioning, and my bed was comfortable. The shower in room 304 was great. There’s no lift, so getting to the top floor is a climb, but the staff carried my bag and didn’t seem to expect a tip. Friendly, courteous staff and a good budget hotel.

I hadn’t expected the £25 room deposit at check-in, but it was refunded when we checked out. We were first given a small ground-floor room without a view, and asked to move because of the hot weather. They arranged it straight away, and we appreciated ending up on the top floor. There’s no lift, so it was a long haul with our luggage. The room was clean and toiletries were provided. There was plenty of tea and coffee, herbal teas included, though I’d have preferred a teaspoon to the wooden stirrer. A larger table near a plug for the kettle would’ve helped. Reception was staffed when we arrived. It’s about a five-minute walk from Paddington Station. A satisfactory stay, and I’d book again.

The bathroom was a highlight, with pretty, quaint floor tiles and an amazing shower pressure. The bed was comfy, and I liked the firm mattress. My room on the third floor was a climb since there’s no lift, but the staff helped with the cases, so no problem. Very quirky and cute, and you can’t beat the location, just two minutes from Paddington. Perfect for my one-night business trip.

A lovely-looking, well-designed hotel, and the staff are really friendly. The rooms are small, but they work well for solo trips. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk to paddington station. Mr Subash and Mr. Mohammad Munir were especially friendly.
