The Rosebery by Supercity Aparthotels

The biggest problem was the traffic noise, which made it very hard to sleep. The windows may not be properly sound insulated. We’d asked for the quietest room possible, so I can’t imagine how bad the others might be. We stayed four nights in this apartment hotel. The location was okay, near Farrington train station, with several buses, including the 38 and 19, about five minutes away to take you to Oxford Street and elsewhere. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed comfortable, but the duvet was too heavy to lift and wasn’t soft. The toilet was clean, though flushing produced too little water, and it flowed slowly. If that’s how they save water, it leaves guests with a problem.

Laura, the reservation agent we spoke with, was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My family and I had a wonderful stay, and the apartments were beautiful.

The rooms are roomy and have all the kitchen appliances and utilities you need. It’s a nice aparthotel, conveniently close to bus stops and tube stations.

If you’re sensitive to noise, be prepared, this hotel isn’t soundproof. We booked The Rosebery London because it was advertised as soundproof, and called ahead to check. Staff assured us the rooms were quiet, but that wasn’t our experience. The first night, street noise and a loud drain kept us up. We were moved, then had constant noise from kids jumping in the room above until late. I complained every night and was told it would be fixed, but nothing changed. The windows are old and poorly sealed despite the double glazing. The heaters in both rooms were faulty and kept switching to standby.
