The Royale Chulan Hyde Park

For a cheap place to sleep and store your things in London, this worked out, and the midday checkout was handy. We stayed 24 hours and had secure on-site parking. The large bedroom-bedsit had a small cooker, kettle, fridge, storage cabinet, bedside table, and a large bed with a TV, though there was no remote. Big wooden bay windows looked onto a cool, calm view. The bathroom was tiny, with a narrow shower cubicle, a decent sized sink, and a toilet. There was a funky smell in the hallways, and the floorboards were noisy. The corridors were also very loud from 6am to 10am.

The location is amazing, and if you're planning to be out during the day and come back to sleep, this place is perfect. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The room was clean, with a pretty view if that's your thing. It was on the small side, but had what you need. The bathroom was clean too, though there was a mild odd smell, and the shower might feel cramped if you're a larger person.

It's very clean, warm, and cozy, with great water pressure and temperature, and the 24/7 desk staff were there to help. Daily room cleaning was great too. The location is good if you don't mind walking, with plenty of local restaurants and shops nearby. Our room was small but cozy. There was a cooking station but no utensils, and we couldn't work out how to use it. It didn't bother us since we'd planned to eat out, but it could be an issue for other guests. You can choose a first-floor room when booking, though there are still a few steps at the hotel entrance.

The location is pretty nice, and it's about a 10-minute walk to a Malaysian restaurant. The room was clean and tidy, but the shower heater wasn't working properly. Having to shower in cold water during fall or winter would be awful. Noise kept me from sleeping at night and was also a problem in the morning.
