Think of this as London’s version of a Japanese capsule or pod hotel. If you’re in town overnight and want to skip a dreadful commute, the price makes sense, especially when you factor in the return train fare and a bit extra. I could sleep on the plywood bed with its thin mattress, even though that’s what people mention. The rooms really are tiny, but paying another five quid to move up a level is worth it. The room was clean and spartan, just right for getting to bed late and heading out early. Reception were friendly and super efficient. Join the club for some extra perks. I’d use it if I missed the last train or had an early start, but wouldn’t recommend it for a holiday or a stay longer than two days.

The rooms are small, but the location is unbeatable, which is why we booked, expecting to pop in and out during our trip. Then I got violently ill on our second night and spent most of the trip in bed. The staff, especially Philip, and the cleaning crew made a situation that could’ve been terrible much better. They were patient, hospitable, and accommodating. The pillows could be better, and it would help if refilling the water carafes in the rooms were easier. A tip if you book: get a room with a window. We could open ours, and getting fresh air in from time to time helped massively.

I liked having an interior room, since I’m still jet lagged and not being woken by the sun was welcome. The room is teeny tiny, so two people would be cramped, but it worked fine for my one night before moving to another hotel. The a/c and wifi were perfect. I arrived late and they happened to have wine and cheese for guests in the restaurant downstairs, so I had dinner and was all set.

Tube and bus stops are just around the corner, so it’s a perfect location for a City trip. I’d booked a room with a window but got one without. The hotel was fully booked, so switching wasn’t possible. The room was small, clean, and had everything I needed. The equipment seemed fairly new by London standards. There was no room service during my two night stay. I skipped breakfast, as there are better options nearby.

Really friendly staff, and a shoutout to Desmond, who was great. They can provide extra water or heaters. The room has coffee, tea, a kettle, a decent TV and channels, and good wifi. The location is top notch. It’s a basic hotel in a great area, but the room is pretty much just a bed and bathroom. The bathroom door is very clear and doesn’t block smells well, so it wouldn’t be ideal for a couple. There’s not much storage or wardrobe space, no safe, and the window has no view, lets in little natural light, and can’t be opened.
