Thistle London Park Lane

The room and facilities were great, and the hotel is right across from Hyde Park, close to everything in the city. Breakfast was served at the hotel across the street, with a very complete selection and delicious food. Everything about our stay was great. We’ll book here again if we come back to London.

Rohit made our first London stay feel easy from the moment we arrived at the Thistle. He helped us settle in, checked that we had what we needed, and was genuinely kind. The service was great, and I’d happily recommend the place to anyone visiting for the first time.

The front desk team were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout, and the location works well for central London. It’s near the station but far enough down the road to be almost quiet, by London standards. Breakfast was next door at the other hotel, with a good range to choose from. My room was spacious and fine for a business stay, though it could be more comfortable. There were a few things that wore on me over the week. The room carpet was quite stained, and the bedding, towels, and robes felt as if they’d been washed at very high heat for days. I faced the street at head height, so I couldn’t really open the curtains for natural light. Lighter curtains or netting underneath would help. I also found someone else’s contact lens packet in the bin when I arrived. When I left, the lobby toilet was in a bad state, with no paper, urine everywhere, and hairs on the sink.

We were very happy with our four-night stay. Three of us shared one room, and it was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were so kind, and they even surprised my sister with a birthday cake. Thanks for making us feel welcome.
