Tiarna and Sambou at reception were both so friendly, welcoming and helpful during my stay. Their upbeat attitude and customer service made a good visit even better, and they made me feel very welcome. Travelodge Hackney was clean and comfortable, with a handy location for getting around London. Thank you both.
The woman at reception was lovely and friendly, and the staff were really sweet. But my room had no soap or blowdryer, and you only get 30 minutes of free wifi a day. That’s stingy. I paid around £100 a night and still couldn’t properly use the wifi. Madness. I’m never staying at a Travelodge again.
Patricia at reception made my stay memorable. She welcomed me warmly and was always happy to help, whether I needed directions, local tips or general hotel information. She explained things clearly and patiently, and went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. She’s approachable, attentive and a real asset to the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and Travelodge London Hackney is well located for getting around East London. I had a really positive stay and greatly appreciated Patricia’s excellent service.
The towels were super soft, and the bed linen was crisp and clean. My room was comfortable and tidy, and the location suited me perfectly. The bathroom smelled a bit and the sink started backing up after only a short time with the water running, even when washing hands or brushing teeth. Reception is on the first floor, and after 10pm the main street-level door is locked, so you need your room key to get in. I’d stay again.
The room was average in size and more or less clean, and the bathroom was clean too, though a bit cramped. There was just enough room to move around. The bed was average for comfort, and the staff were only just helpful enough. Hand wash had run out, it was a hassle to get more, and the room key didn’t work at first. After several trips to reception, those problems were sorted out. The hotel is right next to a train station. I judge it against other three-star hotels, and for that standard it was acceptable, but the value for money fell a little short of what I expected.
