Travelodge London Hounslow

I was very comfortable during my two nights at Travelodge Hounslow. The reception team were polite, friendly, and welcoming throughout. Hounslow Central station is only about a five-minute walk away, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, so getting around and finding somewhere to eat was easy. I’d recommend staying here.

The bar area had a relaxed feel and a good atmosphere, though we didn’t try breakfast. We had a great weekend, and the staff were welcoming. The room was quiet despite the busy road, with a comfortable bed, decent bedding, extra pillows, and no silly cushions. The bathroom was very good, the shower worked well, and the towels were a proper size. Check-in was easy, and we parked on a nearby driveway using a parking app. We were visiting Twickenham, about a 30-minute walk away, or there’s a Tesco bus about a 10-minute walk away that drops you right outside. We’d come back.

In room 117 on the first floor, facing the road junction, I could easily hear traffic, especially cars with their stereos turned up. It’s not a good choice if you struggle to sleep, and with no air conditioning I imagine summer would be awful. I also couldn’t get anything out of the shower soap dispenser. It’s cheap for a reason. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

Angel at reception was lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. That’s one reason we keep coming back. The hotel’s in a great spot, just a two-minute walk from Hounslow Central tube station. It’s a nice little place outside the city centre, and Zone 1 is about 40 minutes away by tube.
