Veeve - Hampstead Village Zen

La Gaffe gave me a quiet base for my first London trip. I spent three nights there and liked being able to experience the city without the bustle of downtown. The neighbourhood is excellent and peaceful, and it’s a useful place to learn your way around the tube and other transit, especially when heading downtown. The manager and staff were excellent, and I liked that the morning coffee was quite strong. The walls are thin, but earplugs are provided in the rooms. I’d recommend La Gaffe if you want to stay outside central London.

The place has old-fashioned charm, and breakfast is a lovely light meal in their cute dining area. They make REAL cappuccino to order! Lorenzo, Giuseppe, Dekka, Eric, and the rest of the staff are so kind, professional, and accommodating, with a real family feel. Hampstead tube station is conveniently just down the street. Be ready to walk up a slight hill, and note that the building only has stairs, no lift/elevator. We’re definitely coming back! 💕

La Gaffe was a peaceful place to return to after a busy day in central London. We enjoyed the lovely, quiet neighbourhood and the good location close to the tube. The rooms were decent and spacious, Lorenzo and his staff gave us a warm welcome, and the stay was good value. We had a wonderful long weekend and would definitely recommend it.

The rooms were very clean, and all the staff were kind and helpful. They made us feel right at home during our visit. A fantastic place to stay in London, I can’t recommend it enough.
