A handy place to pause and split up an eight-hour drive. There are three motorhome pitches with EHU, plus a water tap, nearby bins and a drain for grey and black water. It costs £15 a night, and the view across the fields is lovely, with sheep, horses, chickens and pigs. The cockerels were part of the morning soundtrack, though 4am was earlier than I'd have liked!

The setting is nice, and there are a couple of village pubs nearby with good-value food. The cabins are also well equipped. The estate itself, though, looks rather tired, especially the filthy, disgraceful BBQ area. It wouldn't take much effort to improve it.

The park is nice, but our chalet had some practical issues. The kitchen was cramped and awkward, with too few basic utensils, and although the chalet sleeps six, the sofa seating only fits four. Parking was very limited too, and the driveway potholes were huge.

The BBQ area looked decades old, with rubbish left there, and there was no staff around to explain where anything was. Inside, there were only a few glasses and spoons for a place meant for six, and finding a slug in the shower was disgusting. There were also what seemed like insects in the water. It could be a nice park with a nice house, but the listing photos looked like they were from 2009 and the house is different now. I'm not coming back to this site. 🤷‍♂️
