The Sunday roast was delicious, and the food and service were top quality. Everyone was lovely and friendly and made us feel welcome. Thanks to the whole team, and compliments to the chef.

Good spot and friendly staff. Our waiter, a Geordie lad, was especially helpful and warm. Sadly, the food let the place down badly. We'd expected more after hearing the good local reviews: they got the starter wrong, the steak was tough and not cooked properly, and the kids' meal was shocking, with freezer meat and awful sides.

The room was spacious and clean, with lots of drink choices in it, and there was even a welcome box for our dog. A lovely night's stay, and we'd definitely return. Thank you.

We live fairly nearby and had driven past this pub on the main road in Pelynt many times since moving to Cornwall without stopping. Recently we called in on our way home from a day out in Looe with visiting friends. The welcome was lovely, and the beer garden is huge. Lunch outside was excellent, good enough that we booked Sunday lunch for four when a live band was playing in the garden. On that later visit, the Sunday lunch was excellent and reasonably priced. The local band were really good too, and made it a fantastic afternoon. Great beers, food, location, landlord and staff. This is likely to become one of our Sunday spots.
