We’ve already booked another week for next year, making this our fifth year here. Looe remains our favourite, with its stunning beach, and we were lucky with the weather too. This time we stayed in number 4 valley view. The lodge was modern, the setting lovely and quiet, and the view amazing.

The food at the pub on site is great, and their fish and chips are the best I’ve ever had. Staff are really friendly, it’s dog friendly, and the facilities are good. We’ve tried about five different lodges now and loved every one. It’s so peaceful, and I can’t wait to come back.

We’ve had two lovely stays here and would love to return. It’s a nice location for families, and we especially enjoyed the hot tub. The staff were so kind to us and our little boy. School holiday prices are the one gripe: they double the week before and the week after. I know that’s an industry problem, but with school timetables we’re now a bit stuck.

The cabin wasn’t quite clean, and the staff seemed surprised we’d arrived, so I’m not sure our booking had been remembered. It was fine for what we needed, though I think it would have been cleaned on arrival if their system had reminded them. Apart from that, we had a lovely three nights of sleep in the four poster bed. The staff were very friendly and dinner at the restaurant was perfect. Sitting in the hot tub, looking at the trees and listening to the stream, was sublime.
