Rich and Jonny made us feel welcome straight away, and they were friendly, attentive and always ready to help. You can tell how much care and pride goes into this place. The atmosphere is peaceful, and we really didn’t want to leave. Our room was spotless, tidy and beautifully looked after, with every detail thought through to make it comfortable. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay at The Gate - Cornwall, and we’d happily come back. Thanks, Rich and Jonny!

We stayed in the Upper Deck Studio over the Bank Holiday weekend, and the balcony bath with its view of the Cornish countryside was idyllic. The room had been updated beautifully and had everything we needed for a weekend away. Rich and Johnny were so welcoming, and it’s clear they care about their guests. They even suggested a great restaurant and booked it for us. We’re so glad we stayed and will choose The Gate again next time we’re in Cornwall.

The catering from Charlie Walters was a delight, and the accommodation was first class. Our daughter’s wedding was held at The Gate, and the whole weekend turned out to be one of the best of our lives. Johnny, Rich, Charlie and the rest of the staff worked so hard to make everything special. They anticipated what we needed, and nothing was too much trouble. We felt welcome from the minute we arrived. Thanks to everyone at The Gate ❤️

Helen was brilliant. She called on the morning we were checking in to ask about our plans, then got the room ready four hours early because the weather was atrocious. The Gate is a beautifully designed place, with great bedding, spotless rooms and lovely fixtures and fittings. The outside bath was a bonus, and it was great that they’re so dog friendly. Like other reviewers, I think it’s a fantastic place to stay. Can’t recommend it enough.
