Sarah is the best part of the stay, doing everything she can to make it as nice as possible. The warm, cosy holiday let is in a converted barn, with views across a broad meadow. We've spotted Roe dear, Redwings, Fieldfares, and Buzzards, and heard Tawney Owls at night, even in February.

The place was as advertised, with one room available for a couple wanting to get away for a week or so. The service was helpful and well informed, and the Wi-Fi was good. Getting there means taking a single-track lane, so the location isn't ideal for low-riding sports cars. That narrow lane is also part of what gives the property its peaceful charm.
