The village location is really handy, and there’s a lovely Indian restaurant nearby. The rooms were nice, the staff welcoming and breakfast very good. Dinner was only middling, not terrible but nothing special. We had two fairly early starts, though, and the noise from downstairs was extremely loud. There was a band one night and karaoke the next, so sleep was impossible until very late.

This friendly pub really did give me "shelter from the storm" (Goretti). My en-suite room was lovely and comfortable, and there was a proper log fire in the bar downstairs. I’d highly recommend it.

We keep coming back year after year because we love this place. The food tastes home cooked, and it’s been that way for 10-plus years. Our grandkids loved it last year, which makes us feel at ease too. The staff are amazing and the prices are really good 👍

We were visiting family and got such a warm welcome on a very wet day. The staff were friendly and accommodating, with plenty of menu choices. The food was delicious and fairly priced. We’d definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Saturday dinner was pub-style food, really good, and I left full and happy. We ate in the dining room, which has a great view of the church and beyond. There was also a band playing in the garden, very 👍. Emma runs the restaurant side and is genuinely charming, actually awesome ;-) We joked that she deserved the credit for what she does. She’s a great ambassador for the pub and for the friendly people of Lostwithiel.
