Conifer Cottage @ The Old Manor North Somercotes

We were lucky with the weather, and the area around Somercotes is beautiful. Ann and Jim gave us helpful suggestions for places to visit, and we had a great couple of days. The Old Manor is very pretty and comfortable, and we slept really well for both nights. Our room faced the front and had a comfy bed, coffee facilities, a bath and a shower. The Full English breakfast was very tasty. We’ll definitely book again. Thank you, Ann and Jim.

My 7 year old is already asking to return, and seems to have found some adoptive grandparents! Jim and Ann were fantastic hosts and made it feel like home. We had a wonderful weekend, with a lovely comfortable room and a fantastic breakfast. Thanks for such a brilliant stay.

We stayed at the conifer cottage, which was very good and clean. The village is a nice size, and it’s handy having a corner shop nearby. Ann and Jim were really nice, with very good breakfasts made with local produce. They also pointed us towards some good places, and their suggestions were spot on, including going up the church spire.

Jim and Ann made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was top quality, with local produce. A nice bonus was a guest discount at a local pub, which was very nice, and at a restaurant we didn’t visit. We plan to come back.
