Woodpecker cottage is lovely and sits in an idyllic setting, but we wouldn’t stay again. I’m short, and the bed was too high for me to get into without help. I was cold throughout our stay, and neither the TV nor the WiFi worked. We also struggled to get the dishwasher tablet into its dispenser and set the machine going, with no instructions for any of the appliances. My husband called the number in the information, but nobody called back, so we left a day early. We were very disappointed with the backup service.

A quiet, cosy retreat that was just right for two.

We had such a relaxing week in the cottage, with birds singing in the morning and evening. It was wonderful x
