Breakfasts were a real highlight, loads to choose from and everything was tasty, which set us up for days exploring the Devon countryside and coast. We also loved the grounds and a game of croquet on the lawn, then made good use of the well stocked bar. Janet and Martin were lovely hosts, full of local knowledge and ideas for places off the beaten track. The rooms are beautifully furnished, with such care in the details, and I may never have slept on more comfortable bedding. My family and I had a fabulous stay at Eastwrey Barton. We’ll definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend it for exploring the area or just having a peaceful break.

Janet had put extra toys in the children’s rooms, which they loved. We were a family group of seven adults, two children and a baby, and everyone made us feel very welcome during our four nights in February. The rooms were really comfortable, and as always, the food was delicious. Thanks for such a lovely holiday.

The breakfast was the best we’ve ever had, and the kids are still talking about it! Everything in the rooms was immaculate, cleaned to the standard I’d want in my own home. It’s a beautiful house with a stunning view, and Janet and Martin were so welcoming and sweet that we felt right at home. Thank you so much, we hope to come back next year!

We stayed for a couple of nights with our teenage daughters and had a lovely time. The house is beautiful, the setting is perfect, and the hosts are lovely. Our rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. We’ll definitely return. Thank you, Janet and Martin.

I’ve been to Dartmoor four times over the past year for cycling trips, and stayed at Eastwray Barton on my last two visits. It was the nicest place I stayed on those trips. Patrick and Sharon are friendly, and even gave us a lift down to the excellent local pub one evening. We could lock our bikes away securely in the basement, and there’s a bar and a lovely lounge area too. The breakfasts were perfect. This is long overdue, but better late than never: I absolutely recommend Eastwrey Barton for some well earned leisure time on Dartmoor.
