The apartment was clean, attractive and had everything we needed for a short break. The beds were really comfortable, parking was available, and it was easy to get in touch with the owner. It works for four people, though all four of us couldn't easily watch the lounge TV together. The views towards the Isle of Wight and Needles are brilliant when the weather cooperates.

The paella was a particular favourite, and dinner downstairs was one of the best meals we had on our six weeks touring England. We don't often give places five stars, so this rating took some thought. Marine House Boutique was a lovely find for our final evening. We were welcomed warmly, and had the best room of our trip, with plenty of space, a comfortable bed and a great bathroom.

Right by the sea, and the food was good quality with generally good service. We asked for mussels from the kids' menu to try, then partway through the meal someone brought us two slices of toast. Aside from that odd moment, we had no complaints.

We had a really warm, friendly welcome, and everything was explained clearly. The location is brilliant, and we enjoyed visiting the restaurant on site. I stayed two nights with my son and found the room comfortable, with everything we needed, although one of the beds creaked quite a bit. I only wish we'd had more time there.
