The New Forest gates are a short walk from the end of the drive, about 500 yards if you turn right. The Silver Hind in the village, roughly half a mile away, serves delicious food with good wine and beers. We stayed Saturday to Tuesday at Ashen Bank, in the spacious lounge-bedroom Annex above the garage. It has its own entrance, and a microwave, kettle, fridge, and toaster are provided. The bathroom and shower are downstairs. Deborah and Richard were the most accommodating hosts I've ever met. We'll definitely return, and can't thank them enough for making the stay so perfect.

After our drive from Kent, having the gardens and outdoor pool to enjoy was a real treat and a lovely start to our midweek break in the New Forest. We stayed in the annex above the large garage, which felt like a relaxed, comfortable apartment. The hosts were so welcoming and shared useful ideas for places to visit. We followed their advice and went to at least four of them. Breakfast was incredibly tasty, with fresh eggs from their chickens and nicely sliced fresh fruit. We only had one night and hope to return to this wonderful B&B.

The breakfasts were delicious, and everything served was high quality. Our hosts were delightful and very entertaining, and we only wish we'd had longer. I came last weekend with two walking friends, and we all felt this was the best B&B we'd stayed in. From arrival, we were so well looked after. The rooms were bright and clean, and the beds extremely comfortable.
