Little Lodge

The village has a little shop, a garage and a pub within an easy walk, and there are some lovely walks nearby. Breakfast is included, with self-service cereal and toast. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The room is a decent size, with a sloping attic ceiling, and the bathroom is roomy too. My bed was comfy enough, though the duvet was too short and my feet stuck out, and I'm only 5'11! The shower got very hot, and it took a lot of twisting to get cold water. Getting into the bath means stepping up quite high, and without a bath or floor mat it gets slippery when wet. The room is up a flight of stairs and has all the information you need once you're inside. There was some confusion about the booking, but it got sorted in the end. The car park only fits two cars, though there's a back road where you can park.

I didn't stay at the lodge myself, which was a shame, but I booked it for my wife and her bridal party. The hosts were helpful and friendly, and even decorated the clean house for them without being asked. They also let the party check out late. Thanks to you both for helping make our big day work!

We suddenly needed somewhere to stay after a breakdown, and the host kindly made room for us despite not expecting guests that night. A pleasant B&B run by decent people.

Little Lodge turned out even better than the high expectations I had from reading previous reviews. Everything was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the service was exceptional. Tom was so helpful, and you can see the care and pride that go into the place. The included light breakfast suited me well. There's also a full breakfast for those with a bigger appetite, and it looked lovely. What a great find, I'd strongly recommend it.
