The room was bright, clean and quiet in the evening, with no pub noise coming through. It had a coffee machine and biscuits, a nice touch. We also loved the charming old pub downstairs. The bar staff looked after us so well and squeezed us in for drinks and dinner, which we appreciated since it rained all weekend and we couldn't sit outside. The food was delicious. It's close to some major Cotswolds attractions but still away from the tourists. A fab stay, and thanks to all the friendly, helpful staff!

We had a lovely stay at this gorgeous Cotswold pub, and Matthew was especially helpful when we raised the noise issue. We spent three nights at the end of Aug 2025. Checking in was a little confusing because there are lots of doors and no reception desk. Room 2 was beautiful, but it's above the bar, so we could clearly hear conversations and music until 12.30am, even though the pub shut at 11am. We spoke with Matthew and the management the next day. They understood and upgraded us to room 10, which was stunning and very quiet, perfect for relaxing in the lovely bath. Dinner was nice, but my Brill didn't come with potatoes. At £26 for the dish, I expected a full meal rather than paying another £6 for a few new potatoes. One drink each and two meals came to £74, a bit steep in my opinion. The continental breakfast was toast with jam, peanut butter or chocolate spread, cereal, some fruit and croissants. Tea and basic coffee were included, but lattes, cappuccinos and any cooked breakfast cost extra. I was disappointed that a better breakfast wasn't part of the room price. The Crown down the road includes a brilliant breakfast, with room prices similar to The Lamb Inn. Sunday's half-price pizzas were a lovely surprise. The room change is what made the stay work, and Matthew really helped make it great. I'd stay again, but wouldn't eat there again. The Crown's food was lovely and reasonably priced, and it's only a five-minute walk into the village. With a few tweaks, this place could be a real gem.

We all had a great Sunday meal here for my mother's birthday. The pub is lovely, and both the food and staff were fantastic. If you order the Sunday Roast Lamb shoulder, bring some big eaters to share it, especially with all the extra side dishes. We'll definitely be back soon.

Service was excellent at Sunday lunch. I had the fish and chips and they were excellent too, mushy peas and all. My partner enjoyed the roast beef, though the Yorkshire was a bit dry.
