Elm Grove Country House

Breakfast was a real highlight, with delicious meals made from fresh ingredients. Elm Grove Country House was such a peaceful place to stay, and we loved how relaxing it felt. Alan welcomed us warmly and shared helpful local suggestions, including places to visit. We had a wonderful time and are already hoping to come back.

The rooms and grounds were superb, and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We came with a walking group this weekend, and Alan and the staff were brilliant with everyone, always ready to help with anything we asked. It was a really memorable break, and I’d recommend Elm Grove without hesitation. Thanks to all of you.

We found the staff friendly and professional, and they were happy to help us with our luggage on the stairs. The rooms were comfortable, the bedding was fantastic, and the house was clean and well cared for. It’s a historic home, so there are stairs to manage. The setting is quiet and a little off the beaten path, while still being within reach of many local sights.

The rooms had huge beds and an elegant look, and breakfast was really tasty. It’s a beautiful house in a great location, with a relaxed, comfortable feel and very friendly staff. It almost felt like staying in a mansion or castle. We were so glad we found it, and thought the B&B was great value.
