The site was tidy and well looked after, and fairly quiet for a holiday park. Our caravan was spotless, and I noticed the cleaners seemed to have more time to get each one ready than at other places we’ve stayed. We came with three adults and two teenagers, and there was plenty to keep us busy. The little train around the site was fun, and the beach was great. Action Watersports, about ten minutes away, was a favourite; we went twice and I’d recommend it for families with older kids. Amy from the entertainment team was especially helpful and made a point of chatting with guests. The arcade and clubhouse were also kept in good shape. We only went to the main show bar twice and the seafront restaurant once. The young woman serving at the bar was quick, friendly, and knew her stuff. The two other barmen were slower, and one nearly poured cordial when I asked for lime in a bottle of Corona. It wasn’t a big issue since the young woman served us most of the time. The restaurant staff were lovely and happy to answer questions. We didn’t eat there, though the food looked nice.

We didn’t get to the beach because the weather was awful, but it’s just across the road, so it would be ideal in the sunshine. The boys liked the fishing lake and caught a few fish. It was a bargain for three days. We paid a little extra for a Silver caravan and thought the upgrade was worth it. All the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the entertainment girls were lovely. They put on some great shows. Bingo was brilliant, with all the parks playing against each other for decent prizes. I even had a cheeky win!

Becky at reception deserves a special mention. She answered all our questions, shared useful information, and was so helpful throughout, always with a smile. Everyone else working around the site was friendly and genuinely helpful too. The kids loved the indoor pool, and the sandy beach is less than a five minute walk away. The park felt relaxed and was laid out well. Even during half term, in gorgeous hot weather, it never seemed too busy. We really enjoyed our three night break at this Parkdean resort and will certainly come back. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The Romney Hythe & Dymchurch miniature railway was the highlight for us. There’s a stop in the park, and the trip to Dungeness and back was lovely. The beach was stunning and nearly empty each day. We self catered, apart from takeaway pizza on our last night, which was really tasty. The bar has a Costa coffee machine, and we used it most mornings. The evening shows were good. We only went a couple of times, but the kids enjoyed the talent shows and we all liked the bingo. Our Gold caravan was clean, spacious and had all the equipment we needed. Having a parking spot beside it was handy. This was our first stay in a caravan holiday park, and we were pleasantly surprised. The park itself was spotless and well maintained, although a few older buildings were an eyesore. The pool was a nice extra, though it looked a little tired. The kids had a great time there, and the play park was really good. Mini golf was run down and could use some TLC, but it was good value. Bike hire was a bit pricey. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. We had a lovely Easter week and look forward to returning.

The caravan was clean, the beds very comfortable, and there was plenty of seating in the bar. The entertainment was not bad, so we had an enjoyable stay overall. Food and service were the letdown. We ate on Saturday, 2nd May, and waited an hour and 45 minutes. When it finally arrived, some of it was cold and didn’t taste very nice. We went back for breakfast on Monday before our long journey home. That wait wasn’t too bad, but the food was only lukewarm and just about edible. The curtains didn’t fit the caravan windows properly, and some blind pull cords were broken. The bar also seemed short staffed on the busy Bank Holiday weekend. We waited at least 15 to 20 minutes for a drink. With so many people there, why weren’t there enough staff?
