After a long day walking and fossil hunting, it was lovely to come back to a quiet, clean, gorgeous room overlooking the garden. Breakfast was really nice too. I usually have a big breakfast and an early dinner, so it was a great way to start the day. Alex was kind and accommodating, and I really liked that this is a family run place. It was the perfect place to stay in Lyme Regis, and I'll definitely come back with friends.

The owners were lovely, and his mum was lovely too. We stayed in a spacious twin room with its own bathroom, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. The cottage is a gorgeous, large 18th-century house with a thatched roof.

We had a lovely view over Lyme bay from our front room, and the location was great, with free parking and really good value. Check-in was easy and fuss-free. The room was fine, though the ensuite was a little small. Breakfast was really good, and the service was great. It's a beautiful old listed building.

The owners were wonderful and around during our stay. Breakfast was great, and it was an easy walk to the Cobb and the village proper. A lovely little old-fashioned seaside hotel.

We found it very convenient that the Jurassic Coaster stops a short distance from the hotel, and it accepts pensioner bus passes. There's good free parking on site as well. The hotel sits at the top of a hill, but that bus route runs through the town centre and past the hotel. My wife and I stayed four nights in June 2025. Our comfortable twin room had sea views, very comfortable beds, a TV, tea and coffee facilities, and a bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. The staff were friendly and efficient, and breakfast was outstanding. It's a lovely period property with a thatched roof, built in the 18th century. Highly recommended.
