The room and shared bathroom were both immaculately clean, and the bed was very comfortable. This is a welcoming guesthouse in a lovely forest setting. The couple who run it are genuinely lovely and do a lot to help you feel at home. Highly recommended.

There aren't any restaurants or pubs within walking distance, which was the one downside. If you have a car, though, there are lots of options, and Julie can suggest good places. I had a fabulous one-night stay. Julie and Paul were fantastic hosts, and I felt like part of the family. The place was immaculate and had what I needed for an overnight stay. Highly recommended.

For a work training trip, I stayed one night and found it very good value. Julie gave me a warm welcome and plenty of information about nearby places to eat. I had the single room, which was comfortable and didn't have an en-suite, but that wasn't a problem. Right next door was a lovely, large, very new and clean bathroom and shower room. Breakfast was continental style and very good. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.

The accommodation and breakfast are excellent, and Julie and Paul are among the nicest people you could meet. They’re so welcoming and always ready to help. My wife Margaret and our friend Anita are especially grateful to Paul for driving us to and collecting us from the wedding at the Rhinefield. And Buster the black Labrador is very friendly too. Has to be the best B&B in the New Forest.

The Apple House felt warm and friendly, and I was completely at home in its relaxing forest setting. It was a wonderful way to start the year. I'm already looking forward to coming back next month.
