The Old Mill

We stayed for a couple of nights for my husband’s birthday and had a lovely time. The rooms were fantastic value, and the food was really good. Every member of staff was friendly and willing to help with anything. The beer garden looked lovely, so we’re planning to return in summer and enjoy it. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

A really delightful evening. We loved the food and its lovely flavours, and the staff were polite, friendly and happy to help with anything. We didn’t stay in a room this time, but would like to in the future. We’ll be back.

We had dinner here with a large group, and the setting was beautiful, with a fairy-lit bridge over the river. There was a lovely choice of drinks, and the food was gorgeous. Service felt warm and attentive, and everything was exceptional.

The food was the real star of our family’s celebration at The Old Mill. All nine of us, seven adults and two children, had two courses, and everything was faultless. Several of us chose the lamb for our main, and it was a huge hit. The atmosphere felt special while still being familiar, and the drinks suited our mixed age group. We were celebrating my father’s 75th birthday on a Saturday evening in early October. From the time I booked, the staff did everything they could to help us plan the event we wanted. They were completely accommodating when I asked about bringing a cake and putting up a few decorations. We arrived on time for our 17:30 booking and were warmly welcomed. The team knew we were celebrating. Our waitress, Grace, was attentive, kind, discreet, and good humoured from the moment we sat down. She even helped me arrange bringing out the cake with candles. Thank you to everyone at The Old Mill, and especially Grace. She’s a star employee and helped create very special family memories. We had a perfect celebration and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
