The owner was so friendly and did everything possible for us during our two-night stay. We had a clean, warm room with everything we needed, plus great cooked breakfasts. It’s an easy walk into town through the garden and across a car park, with plenty of places to eat and drink and a cash point in the Coop. There are only two bedrooms. If you’re on the larger side, ask for the room with the bath, as the shower was very small.

We had a wonderful overnight stay at Rosedale during a weekend in the New Forest. The house is handy for the village centre, the rooms were cosy, and our beds were especially comfortable. We’d be very happy to recommend Rosedale.

I haven’t stayed here, and couldn’t find another way to get in touch. It’s good to see the Union Flag flying prominently where lots of people in the car park can see it, but it’s upside down, and people have been commenting. Those who know the rule find it annoying: at the post, the broad white band should be at the top. If you run the halyard all the way through, it should end up the right way round. Many thanks in advance for correcting it.

Rosedale Bed and Breakfast is a place you’ll miss once you leave. The owners’ kindness and care stay with you. If you need somewhere to stay while exploring the beautiful New Forest, this is the place.

A great find, with everything we could want in the room. We might have liked a little more space to put things, though we understand a refurb is planned and should address that. This friendly B&B is quiet but very accessible from the centre of Lyndhurst.
