We were well looked after by the lovely owners and would definitely stay at this B&B again. It’s a great base for walking and cycling, and La pergola, the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at, is only a couple of minutes away. The breakfast was really good too.

Getting here from Ashurst New Forest train station is straightforward by number 6 bus or taxi, and the centre of Lyndhurst is only a few minutes away on foot. My girlfriend and I stayed for five days in August 2013 and had a great short break. The room was clean and well kept, and we had a tasty, well-cooked hot breakfast each day.

The house has history, and I’d have loved to hear more about it. The rooms were clean, and the people running the place were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is served until about 9, with everything on the menu local. It’s about a five-minute walk from the centre of Lyndhurst, right among some great places for walking and cycling.

We stayed in March 2020 and would happily come again next time we’re in the New Forest. The hosts were warm and friendly, the rooms clean and nice, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the showers had hot water. Breakfast was as expected.
