Bonnicott House Hotel

The hotel looks out over Lynmouth, and there’s parking nearby. There are a few steps to manage, though. As a solo guest, I had a roomy bedroom with a lovely sea view, and the pre-ordered breakfasts were generous and delicious. I also had dinner there on Saturday, which was just as good and plentiful. Sarah and Cathryn were warm and thoughtful hosts. This was my second three-night visit, and I’m sure it won’t be my last. Even arriving on a cold day, I felt welcome straight away. It’s a cosy place to retreat to any time of year, I’d say. Highly recommended.

We’ve already booked to come back next year. Cathryn and Sarah were lovely hosts and made the weekend really enjoyable. We stayed in the deluxe suite, which was immaculate and very comfortable, with nothing we could fault. Breakfast was delicious, and we also had a wonderful meal in Their Bay View Restaurant. This was our second weekend visit, and we had a great time.

From the restaurant’s raised position, there’s a lovely outlook over the town and out to sea. The hotel and dining room were beautifully decorated and clean, and Cathy and Sarah looked after us brilliantly. We came for our wedding anniversary after seeing the five-star Trip advisor rating and positive reviews, and booked a table at the restaurant. Our fillet steak and venison were cooked perfectly, absolutely mouthwatering. We chatted with other diners, who were just as pleased with their meals, especially the fish dishes. A perfect end to the day, thank you, ladies.

Lynmouth is a quirky, interesting place to explore, and the garden at Bonnicott House is well cared for with excellent views. Getting there is a bit steep, but we enjoyed our short break. We had dinner one evening, and it was really good value and very tasty.
