From our balcony, No 4, we loved looking over Lynmouth harbour and beyond. The apartment had a homely, quirky feel and was well equipped. Our host was friendly, helpful and explained everything. You can take a path through the garden down to Lynmouth, or walk up to Lynton, where there are a couple of small supermarkets. We also walked from the apartment to the beautiful Valley of the Rocks.

The views from the room were amazing, and our dogs loved their stay too. Gill gave us such a warm welcome and made the place feel like home. It's a short walk to lynmouth, though this hillside area involves steep or stepped paths, so you need to be steady on your feet. You can head up a steep hill to Lynton or follow a winding path with steps down into Lynmouth. This isn't an ultra-modern place with every bell and whistle, but it's lovely, homely accommodation in a superb spot. It's ideal for walking to the valley of the rocks, and Exmoor is a drive away.

The owners clearly adore clooeavin, and you can see the care they put into the quirky public areas. Gillian, the owner, met us and made us feel welcome. The lounge has a stunning view, and the accommodation looks out over lynmouth. Getting around means taking a steep, zigzagging garden path, with seats at each turn. Nothing was too much trouble.

There's plenty of good walking nearby, and the location makes it easy to explore. Lynmouth is a short walk downhill, while Lynton is a short walk uphill. The views over Lynmouth are fantastic, and the place was clean and tidy with everything we needed. The owner was kind, friendly and helpful. I'd definitely return.

The owner is so friendly and helpful, and the place is very dog-friendly. It's a wonderful old-fashioned sort of holiday, with the modern touches you might want. The location is spot on and the views are amazing. I can't recommend it enough if you're staying in the area.
