Fresh milk with tea was a welcome touch, and the room was spotless, with tea and coffee facilities and biscuits. Breakfast was cooked fresh each morning, delicious, and there was plenty of it. Gable lodge is close to the centre of Lynton, with some lovely places to eat and drink nearby. Nicola was great, and I’d happily recommend staying here when visiting this part of Devon.

We booked four rooms and every one was spotless; ours even had a little balcony. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and Ian kept us entertained with his jokes. It’s in a lovely spot, with off-street parking and amenities close by. Breakfast was great too. A first-class guest house, and I’d highly recommend it.

We had a great time together as a family, and slept really well. Our first-floor balcony room was larger and had an excellent view of the hills. Everything was super clean, and Nicola was an excellent host. We’ll definitely return.

The hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome. Our room was clean, breakfast was very good, and the evening meals were great. We especially enjoyed the roast lamb and steak pie. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
