The Seawood Hotel

We stayed at the Seawood Hotel last weekend, the first guests of the year after its winter closure. Even with the bad weather, we had a fabulous time. Peter was extremely attentive and the service was excellent. We were in the Ragged Jack room, with superb bay views and an extremely comfortable bed. We also ate at the hotel on both evenings, and the food was first class, especially the catch of the day, sea bass. Highly recommend.

The views from the Rugged Jack room were incredible, looking out in two directions. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both meals were excellent, with generous portions and plenty of choice. The host was very accommodating, and the whole place was kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. I also appreciated the bathroom storage and all the little extras, including an honesty bar. It's just a two-minute walk through the garden to the cliff-top railway and Lynton. Parking can be tricky when the hotel is full.

The sea view from bed in the morning was lovely, and the staff were absolutely lovely too. We had a really nice breakfast each day. The rooms were incredibly clean, probably the cleanest I've ever stayed in, and that's especially important to me. Five stars from me.

Peter made us feel welcome from day one, and the service was great throughout our four-night stay. My partner and I had a sea view from our bedroom, and breakfast was high quality every day. I can't fault the location or the hospitality. I also want to thank the owner for kindly posting back an outfit I'd left behind.
