The room was spotless and warm, and I felt safe and very welcome during my stay. It had a beautiful view, with the hotel right by the beach. Doug, the proprietor, was friendly and went out of his way to help. I slept better than I ever have, the bed was so comfortable I wanted to take it home! Breakfast was fantastic too, especially Doug's poached eggs, which were like something from a Michelin star chef. The seaside chic boutique feel made it a lovely romantic getaway, and there were plenty of places to park on the quiet street. It's very pet friendly. I'll definitely be back.

It was so peaceful here, with no noisy pubs nearby, but town is close and you can reach bigger towns by bus or train. We felt welcome, and the lounge was a comfortable place to sit and chat, with a kettle and microwave available. A fabulous place to stay. I'm already thinking about another visit.

The food was freshly cooked and there was plenty of it, and being dog friendly is a real plus. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the memory foam mattress, which gave us a lovely night's sleep. Everyone was so friendly and couldn't do more for us. The hotel is perfectly placed for us, just a short stroll along the front into St. Anne’s. This was our third stay at this guest house, and we'll definitely come back.

The Cumbria Hotel had what we needed, and for the price it was worth every penny. Breakfast was good, and the continental spread was very nice. We paid a fiver for the full English, which was delicious and well worth it. The host was friendly and easy to talk to. The place could do with updating, but that didn't put us off. It was clean and tidy, and we'd stay again.

A lovely host and a great stay. Nothing was too much trouble. We'll book again for next year.
