The Breverton BB

The homemade jam was a highlight. Andy and Nora make it themselves, and it tasted so fresh with the warm, freshly baked bread. Those small touches gave The Beverton a special feel. We found the rooms cosy and nicely decorated, with soft colours and comfortable furniture. After a day out exploring, it felt like having a little sanctuary to come back to. The welcome was personal and warm from the start, and the place had a homely atmosphere that made leaving hard. If you want a quiet getaway and great hospitality, I couldn’t recommend it more. Andy and Nora have created something special.

The hotel is spotless and so welcoming. I always enjoy the fresh, delicious breakfast, and Norah and Andy are such lovely hosts, always smiling, friendly, and ready to help. As a regular visitor to St Anne's, I wouldn't choose anywhere else. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay again.

St Ann's is beautiful, and the hotel was clean and tidy. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was plentiful and perfectly adequate. Free on-road parking nearby is a real bonus these days. One thing for new guests to know: there are 35 steep steps up to the superior room. That could be hard work, or impossible for some, so it would help if the owners mentioned it on their website.

We only stayed an extra day because the place felt so comfortable. My two children are on the spectrum, and one is deaf as well, but Nora and Andy somehow made them feel relaxed and safe. They were wonderful with all of us, nothing was too much trouble, and the food was incredible. We were sad to leave, and the kids keep asking when we’ll go back. We'd booked that same evening after our other accommodation was double booked, so we arrived pretty stressed. Nora and Andy welcomed us right away and found us a spotless, lovely family room. This isn't the place if you're after something modern with all the latest features. It's a holiday where you can feel looked after and at home, and where children can just be children.
