The pub itself is very worn, and the accommodation feels dated, though the bed was comfortable and the linen clean. The breakfast was lovely, the portions were good, and the food was great. Bar staff were friendly and very helpful. It’s good for dogs and has plenty of potential as a pub, restaurant and inn.

I enjoyed my stay a couple of years ago and would stay again if I were back in the area. It’s a remote, peaceful spot, though phone signal isn’t great because of the location. There is WiFi, so it wasn’t a big deal. The style is old, but has a distinctive character that I liked. My room was a nice size, with tea, coffee and a TV. Staff were friendly, dogs were allowed, and food was available too. It may not suit people who want everything modern and simple.

My dog was made to feel at home too, and there was free parking and great food. The staff were all helpful and friendly, the room was fantastic, and the spa bath was a real treat. We had a brilliant weekend and will definitely be back soon.

We had a great stay here for my wedding, with my groomsmen and two rooms in the Inn. The place is quaint and fairly basic, but it suited us perfectly. The manager was very friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was fab. It’s no Ritz, but we had a lovely time.

The bedrooms are a good size and there’s plenty of hot water. Towels and bed linen were lovely, clean and fresh. Staff were friendly, breakfast more than acceptable, and dinner was very nice. The rooms could use a facelift.
