We paid £115.90 for two nights that were awful. The room had three lights out, cobwebs everywhere, broken heating, and sour, curdled milk pods. It was an outside room and so cold that I wore a polo-neck jumper in bed and used a hot water bottle. The toilet had no rails, and the shower was over a bath with neither rails nor an anti-slip mat. There was no plug in the sink. The woman running the place apologized and said she'd only been there three days, temporarily put in to keep it going. Breakfast was cooked and served well, but the restaurant was so cold that the food was stone cold before we could eat it. Lesley brought us a pint of fresh milk on the second night, which we really appreciated.

There were eight of us for Saturday lunch, and the food was really good, with generous portions. Everyone left some on their plate because there was so much. The homemade pizza was delicious, though I found there was a bit too much tomato sauce on the base. Still enjoyed it, and the value was amazing. Even the drinks were well priced. First visit, and we'll definitely be back soon 😁

The room was good, with just about everything you need, though it wasn't very big. Dinner was great, and breakfast was what you'd expect at an English hotel. The hosts were polite and very nice. The Roebuck Inn is a cosy hotel and pub in a small, quiet English village. I can't think of anything bad to say about it.

The landlady was very quiet when we asked questions and didn't help much, so we just didn't feel welcome. We were working away and stayed this week. On arrival, we expected hot food and Sky Sports or BT Sport, since they advertise it all over the pub, but found they don't offer those anymore. There's nothing around unless you drive out. Our room was very outdated, and the carpet was disgusting, with stains everywhere. I'd give it 4/10 and won't be rushing back.

I travel around the UK for work and stay in lots of places. This was one of the best: very reasonable room price, a clean room, good parking, great food and great staff. Glad we chose it, and I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.
