The breakfast buffet was self-service and cold, with plenty to choose from, though I found the coffee machine challenging. On arrival, the receptionist gave us a warm welcome. The room at the Hashtag hotel needed an upgrade. The curtain was coming off its rail, the bedside lampshade was falling apart, and the shower was mouldy.

The twin room was nice, and I appreciated having sockets beside the bed for my phone. It got a bit hot; there was a fan, but it didn't do enough. I stayed two nights, and both the service and breakfast were amazing.

We went in January 2016 and had the venison and partridge for our mains, followed by the pistachio fondant and assiette of chocolate. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of amazing flavour. Great food and service, a must visit.

The Townhouse has an intimate restaurant, and the food was excellent. We celebrated our anniversary there last night with friends. The staff were lovely, and I'd highly recommend it.

The staff were funny as well as really friendly, and the food was outstanding. Five stars hardly covers it. I'll definitely come back.
