We had a lovely, quiet family trip with the kids. The cottage feels remote and scenic, and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed. It’s close to Flamingo Land, which worked well for our half-term outing. I was surprised it was still available when we booked, especially at such good value. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

The setting was beautiful, and there was a friendly dog and cat around the grounds, so cute. The little cottage was cosy and absolutely spotless. We stayed as five on 1/3/19, about 10 minutes from Flamingo Land. They’d left fresh-baked bread, butter, milk, tea, coffee and cereals for us.

The hosts were lovely, and the house was clean, tidy and nicely set up. I especially appreciated the fresh bread and freshly churned butter. It’s a great base for a family wanting to explore places nearby, including York, Richmond and Whitby.

We went last Christmas and New Year, and we’re coming back again this year. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the cottage had everything we could need for a really comfortable holiday. We’re looking forward to returning. You won’t be disappointed if you book.
