Etrop Grange Hotel

After just one night, they kicked out a heavily pregnant woman without support or a good reason. This place is as evil as all homeless shelters in Greater Manchester.

The restaurant dinner was stunning, and all the staff were lovely and friendly. My room was lovely too, with nice touches, a beautiful bathroom and a Nespresso machine. The decorating was very dated and needed attention, though. The location is great, and I didn’t hear a plane at all even though the hotel is right on the airport’s doorstep. I’d happily return.

The rooms were nice and clean, the food was very good, and all the technical details were handled well. But the personal touch was completely missing, and I never felt the staff wanted me there. One bar staff member sighed and rested her head on the pump handle while serving me. I understand she may have worked a long day, but I wasn’t being difficult or unreasonable. The Reception Manager also seemed very put out when I asked how to find my room. I did need to ask, and I assumed I wasn’t expected to study the floor plan before arriving.

The bed was really comfortable, and the room had plenty of space. It works especially well for an early flight since there's a free, quick shuttle to the terminal. I’ve never had breakfast there because my flights have been so early.
