I stayed here for business on 11 November 2025 and won’t return. I’ve been an IHG member for about 10 years, with my account moving between Platinum Elite and Diamond but usually at Platinum, and I also have a corporate IHG account. I know the rules and terms for these hotels. In December I got a parking fine from Parking Eye for non-payment. I always pay for parking, so I checked the invoice and found they hadn’t sent one. I called the hotel, and they said parking hadn’t been added to my stay and there was nothing they could do, so I’d have to pay the fine. I told them I’d said I had a vehicle and written the registration on my check-in form, but they still wouldn’t ask Parking Eye to cancel it. I’d stayed the week before and the week after, and they charged me for parking on the following stay. I then realised they never email invoices for my stays as requested. This was the hotel’s fault, but the manager has been useless at understanding the problem or helping. I get parking fines all the time as part of my job, and if one is my own doing, fair enough. This one wasn’t. The experience has soured my view of Holiday Inn hotels and IHG in general, and I’ll probably use my Hilton Honors account more now.
Rhiannon was wonderful at breakfast, which was really busy around 6:30am. She was kind, attentive and reassuring when I felt a bit uncomfortable sitting in the middle of the room, telling me I could sit wherever I felt best. That small bit of understanding meant a lot. The breakfast was insane too, especially the hash browns, sausages and beans. I woke up a very happy boy. My room was incredibly comfortable, with an amazing bed and one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had at a Holiday Inn Express. The location is perfect for travellers, really close to the airport. The staff and food were both incredible, and I’d absolutely recommend this place if you’re visiting Manchester or catching a flight. Moshin gave me a lovely welcome as soon as I came in and showed me where everything was. When I said I was from Scotland, he was genuinely interested in the history I shared. We also talked about how I grew up in Peterborough, so technically I’m English! That personal conversation made a great first impression.
Breakfast was all you could eat, with everything I could want: bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, potatoes, toast, tea, coffee, juice, croissants and more. Rob was lovely and helpful both times I ate in the restaurant. I slept well and couldn’t hear the rooms either side of me. The bathroom was lovely, with soap and shampoo, and the room was spacious, with a cosy, comfortable bed, standard white bedding, a TV with Freeview and tea and coffee. I picked up KFC and ate it in my room. This was my first stay at a Holiday Inn, and it was a great experience for a three-star hotel and good value for money. I checked in a little early, and the staff were happy to see whether a room was available. Julie at the desk was super friendly and helpful. Everything was explained clearly, and details like the Wi-Fi access were written on the keycard holder.
A handy spot for an overnight stay before or after a flight from Manchester Terminal 2. Jet Park 1 long-stay parking is a 20-minute walk or a short cab ride away. There’s a bar and restaurant for food and drink, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Book through the IHG app for the best price. Thanks.
A friendly, good-value hotel with large, clean rooms. It’s a short shuttle bus ride from the airport. For people flying at silly o’clock, they leave breakfast ready to grab and coffee to take away. The staff are helpful and friendly, especially Peter and Kyle in the restaurant, who serve good food with a smile.
